  1. Conduct risk and control self-assessments (RSCA) to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  2. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing risk management processes and make recommendations for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with various departments to identify and analyze potential risks and develop solutions to mitigate them.
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to promote a risk-aware culture within the organization.
  5. Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and inform risk management strategies.
  6. Communicate and present risk assessment findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
  7. Develop and maintain documentation and reports related to risk management activities.
  8. Identify areas for automation and streamlining of risk management processes.
  9. Lead and support risk management training and awareness initiatives for employees.
  10. Work closely with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
  12. Participate in special projects and initiatives related to risk management as needed.
  13. Continuously review and improve risk assessment methodologies and frameworks.
  14. Mentor and train team members on risk management processes and procedures.
  15. Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all job duties.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Risk Management And Control Frameworks: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Risk Management Principles And Control Frameworks Such As Coso And Cobit.

  • Experience In Conducting Rscas: A Senior Consultant At Northern Trust Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Leading And Facilitating Rscas For Various Business Units And Processes.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Job Requires The Ability To Analyze Complex Processes And Identify Potential Risks And Control Gaps. The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Problem-Solving Skills To Develop Effective Risk Mitigation Strategies.

  • Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: Northern Trust Operates In A Highly Regulated Industry, And The Senior Consultant Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Relevant Regulations And Their Impact On The Organization.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Role Involves Working Closely With Stakeholders At All Levels, Including Senior Management. The Candidate Should Possess Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate Complex Risk Concepts And Build Relationships With Key Stakeholders.
