  1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Northern Trust's business needs and objectives.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key metrics and data sources, and develop strategies for collecting and analyzing data.
  3. Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and systems to ensure accurate and efficient collection, storage, and retrieval of data.
  4. Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to effectively communicate data insights and trends to key stakeholders.
  5. Identify opportunities for improving data quality and accuracy, and implement solutions to address any issues.
  6. Conduct thorough data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and outliers, and provide actionable recommendations based on findings.
  7. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in metrics engineering, and make recommendations for process improvements as needed.
  8. Collaborate with other teams to integrate metrics and data analysis into business processes and decision making.
  9. Train and support team members on the use of metrics and data analysis tools and techniques.
  10. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of metrics and data analysis efforts, and make adjustments as needed to drive continuous improvement.
  11. Maintain a strong understanding of data privacy and security regulations, and ensure compliance in all data-related activities.
  12. Represent the metrics engineering team in cross-functional meetings and provide updates on progress, challenges, and recommendations.
  13. Lead and participate in special projects and initiatives related to metrics and data analysis as assigned by management.
  14. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team, and provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
  15. Handle any other responsibilities as assigned by management related to metrics engineering and data analysis.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Software Development And/Or Data Engineering.

  • Extensive Knowledge And Experience Working With Data Analytics And Metrics Platforms, Such As Tableau, Power Bi, Or Splunk.

  • Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team Of Data Engineers And Analysts.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Technical Concepts To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
