- Develop and implement business continuity plans and strategies to ensure the resilience of Northern Trust's operations.
- Conduct risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to the organization.
- Collaborate with various departments and business units to identify critical processes and develop recovery plans.
- Monitor and test business continuity plans and procedures to ensure their effectiveness.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on business continuity protocols and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in business continuity management.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all business continuity-related inquiries and issues.
- Coordinate and lead response efforts during a crisis or disaster situation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to support business continuity efforts.
- Regularly report on the status of business continuity plans and any potential risks or concerns to senior management.
- Continuously evaluate and improve business continuity processes and procedures to enhance the organization's resilience.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines related to business continuity and operational resilience.
- Act as a liaison between Northern Trust and regulatory bodies during audits and examinations.
- Provide guidance and support to other departments and business units in developing and maintaining their own business continuity plans.
- Foster a culture of operational resilience and risk management throughout the organization.
Knowledge And Experience In Operational Resilience And Business Continuity Planning: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Operational Resilience And Business Continuity Principles And Practices, As Well As Prior Experience In Developing And Implementing Such Plans In A Financial Institution Setting.
Risk Management Expertise: As The First Line Of Defense, The Business Continuity Manager Will Be Responsible For Identifying And Assessing Potential Risks To Business Operations And Developing Strategies To Mitigate Them. Therefore, Candidates Should Possess A Solid Understanding Of Risk Management Principles And Methodologies.
