- Develop and implement strategies for identity and access management (IAM) in accordance with industry best practices and company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design, and implement IAM solutions that meet business needs.
- Conduct thorough assessments of current IAM systems and identify areas for improvement.
- Design and implement IAM processes, procedures, and controls to ensure the security and integrity of the organization's data and systems.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on IAM principles, technologies, and best practices.
- Conduct research and stay updated on the latest IAM trends, threats, and solutions.
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders on IAM-related matters.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of IAM processes, procedures, and systems.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to implement and maintain IAM solutions.
- Monitor and audit IAM systems to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Train and mentor junior team members on IAM principles, technologies, and processes.
- Participate in project planning, estimation, and delivery of IAM projects.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including non-technical stakeholders, to present IAM solutions and recommendations.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues with IAM systems and provide timely resolutions.
- Continuously improve IAM processes and procedures to enhance the overall security posture of the organization.
- Adhere to project timelines and deliverables, and provide regular updates to project managers and leadership.
- Collaborate with other security teams to ensure a holistic approach to the organization's security posture.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide support for IAM systems outside of regular business hours, as needed.
- Adhere to company standards and policies while adhering to industry best practices.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in IAM technologies and solutions.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Iam Technologies And Systems: A Qualified Iam Consultant At Northern Trust Should Possess A Comprehensive Understanding Of Various Iam Technologies, Such As Single Sign-On, Multi-Factor Authentication, And Identity Governance And Administration. They Should Also Have Experience Implementing And Managing Iam Systems In A Corporate Environment.
Strong Understanding Of Industry Regulations And Compliance: With The Increasing Emphasis On Data Security And Compliance, An Iam Consultant At Northern Trust Should Be Well-Versed In Industry Regulations Such As Gdpr, Hipaa, And Pci Dss. They Should Be Able To Ensure That The Company's Iam Processes And Systems Are In Line With These Regulations.
Excellent Communication And Project Management Skills: As An Iam Consultant, One Would Be Responsible For Coordinating With Various Teams And Stakeholders, Including It, Security, And Business Leaders. Therefore, Strong Communication And Project Management Skills Are A Must For This Role.
Experience With Identity Lifecycle Management: Northern Trust Deals With A Large Number Of Clients And Employees, Making Identity Lifecycle Management A Critical Aspect Of Their Iam Strategy. A Qualified Iam Consultant Should Have Experience In Managing The Entire Identity Lifecycle, From Onboarding To Termination, And Implementing Processes To Ensure Data Accuracy And Security.
