- Develop and implement data governance strategies and policies that align with the business goals and support the overall data management objectives of the organization.
- Identify and analyze potential risks and issues related to data governance and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain data governance standards, processes, and procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate data governance processes, identify areas for improvement, and make necessary changes to ensure continuous optimization.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in data governance and recommend innovative solutions to enhance the organization's data governance framework.
- Lead data governance training and awareness programs for employees, ensuring a strong understanding and adherence to data governance principles across the organization.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and business leaders to promote the value of data governance and gain support for data governance initiatives.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulations.

Strong Understanding Of Data Governance Principles And Best Practices: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Data Governance Principles And Best Practices, Including Data Management, Data Quality, Data Privacy, And Regulatory Compliance.
Extensive Experience In Data Governance: The Enterprise Data Governance Manager Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In A Data Governance Role, Preferably At A Financial Institution Or In A Highly Regulated Industry.
Knowledge Of Relevant Regulations: Northern Trust Is A Global Financial Institution, So The Enterprise Data Governance Manager Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Relevant Regulations, Such As Gdpr, Ccpa, And Other Data Privacy Laws.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: This Role Will Require The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Stakeholders At All Levels Of The Organization. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Strong Leadership Skills And Be Able To Influence And Drive Change Within The Organization.
Experience With Data Governance Tools: The Enterprise Data Governance Manager Should Have Experience With Data Governance Tools, Such As Collibra, Informatica, Or Ibm Infosphere, And Be Able To Leverage These Tools To Develop And Maintain Data Governance Processes And Policies.
