  1. Manage relationships with critical vendors: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key vendors to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  2. Ensure compliance with standards and regulations: Monitor vendors' adherence to Northern Trust's standards and regulatory requirements, and take necessary actions to address any non-compliance issues.
  3. Identify and mitigate risks: Perform risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies for critical vendors, in alignment with Northern Trust's risk management framework.
  4. Negotiate and review contracts: Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to negotiate and review contracts with critical vendors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for Northern Trust.
  5. Monitor vendor performance: Track and report on vendor performance against SLAs and KPIs, and work with vendors to identify areas for improvement.
  6. Conduct vendor due diligence: Conduct due diligence on potential vendors to assess their capabilities, financial stability, and alignment with Northern Trust's values and goals.
  7. Develop and maintain vendor management policies and procedures: Continuously review and enhance Northern Trust's vendor management policies and procedures to ensure they are in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  8. Collaborate with internal stakeholders: Work closely with various departments within Northern Trust to understand their vendor management needs and objectives, and provide guidance and support as needed.
  9. Stay current on industry trends: Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments in vendor management, and apply this knowledge to enhance Northern Trust's vendor management program.
  10. Drive continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve processes related to vendor management, and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Vendor Management, Contract Negotiation, Or Related Role.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Risk Management And Compliance Frameworks.

  • Demonstrated Experience Managing Critical Vendors And Mitigating Vendor-Related Risks.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With External Vendors And Internal Stakeholders.
