  1. Design and implement efficient and reliable DevOps processes and systems for infrastructure and applications.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain automated deployment pipelines.
  3. Identify and troubleshoot issues in the deployment process, and work to improve overall system reliability.
  4. Develop and maintain documentation for DevOps processes and procedures.
  5. Monitor and analyze system performance, and make recommendations for optimizations and improvements.
  6. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve DevOps processes and systems.
  7. Work closely with development teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of new features and updates.
  8. Implement and maintain security protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and integrity of our systems.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with third-party vendors and service providers to support our DevOps needs.
  10. Train and mentor junior DevOps team members, and provide guidance and support to other teams within the organization.
  11. Actively participate in project planning and implementation, providing technical expertise and recommendations.
  12. Proactively identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives to increase efficiency and productivity within the organization.
  13. Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  14. Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems and applications.
  15. Continuously monitor and analyze system performance and provide regular reports to management.

Job Qualifications

  • Strong Understanding Of Devops Principles And Practices: A Qualified Devops Engineer At Northern Trust Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Devops Methodology, Tools, And Automation Practices To Streamline The Development, Deployment, And Maintenance Of Applications And Infrastructure.

  • Proficiency In Cloud Computing And Infrastructure Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Hands-On Experience With Cloud Computing Platforms Such As Aws, Azure, Or Google Cloud, And Be Able To Design, Deploy, And Manage Scalable And Resilient Infrastructure.

  • Automation And Scripting Skills: The Role Requires A Strong Proficiency In Scripting And Automation Tools Such As Ansible, Chef, Or Puppet To Automate Provisioning, Configuration, And Deployment Processes.

  • Knowledge Of Application Development And Support: A Devops Engineer At Northern Trust Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Application Development And Support Processes To Collaborate Effectively With Development Teams And Ensure Smooth Integration And Deployment Of Applications.

  • Communication And Collaboration Skills: Effective Communication And Collaboration Are Crucial For A Devops Engineer To Work With Cross-Functional Teams And Stakeholders And To Foster A Culture Of Continuous Improvement And Collaboration Within The Organization.
