As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will play a critical role in driving the success of Nordstrom's data initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions and enhance our data capabilities.   1. Lead and manage the overall delivery and success of Nordstrom's data initiatives.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project goals, scope, and timelines.
  3. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  4. Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
  5. Communicate project status updates, risks, and issues to stakeholders and leadership.
  6. Work closely with data engineers and analysts to ensure data quality and accuracy.
  7. Drive the implementation of innovative solutions to enhance Nordstrom's data capabilities.
  8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for data initiatives.
  9. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and drive continuous improvement within the data programs team.
  10. Mentor and coach other team members on project management best practices.
  11. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data management and analytics.
  12. Ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies and regulations.
  13. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
  14. Represent Nordstrom's data programs team in cross-functional meetings and discussions.
  15. Contribute to the overall success and growth of Nordstrom's data programs.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Managing Large-Scale Data Programs: A Senior Technical Program Manager For Data Programs At Nordstrom Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing Large And Complex Data Programs. This Includes Experience With Data Warehousing, Data Analytics, Data Governance, And Data Integration.

  • Strong Understanding Of Data Technologies And Processes: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Latest Data Technologies And Processes, Including Data Management, Data Quality, Data Security, And Data Modeling. They Should Also Have Experience Working With Cloud-Based Data Platforms Such As Aws Or Azure.

  • Excellent Project Management Skills: As A Senior Technical Program Manager, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Overseeing Multiple Data Projects Simultaneously. Therefore, They Should Possess Excellent Project Management Skills, Including The Ability To Develop Project Plans, Manage Timelines, And Allocate Resources Effectively.

  • Leadership And Team Management Experience: This Role Requires Strong Leadership Skills To Guide And Motivate A Team Of Data Engineers, Analysts, And Other Technical Staff. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Previous Experience Managing A Team And Driving Them Towards A Common Goal.

  • Strategic Thinking And Problem-Solving Abilities: Nordstrom Is A Data-Driven Company, And The Senior Technical Program Manager For Data Programs Should Have A Strategic Mindset And Be Able To Think Critically And Creatively To Solve Complex Data-Related Problems. They Should Also Be Able To Communicate Technical Concepts To Non-Technical Stakeholders Effectively.
