Job Description

Are you a Senior Software Engineer looking to join a world-class finance technology team at Nordstrom? We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion for technology and coding who has a track record of developing and delivering successful enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with other software development teams. They must also have experience working with financial technology, especially in the areas of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM). The Senior Software Engineer must have excellent problem-solving skills, a strong understanding of software engineering principles, and a commitment to creating innovative solutions.Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer with at least 3 years of experience in finance technology • Expertise in developing applications with Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS • Proven ability to develop and deliver high-quality software • Understanding of relational databases and SQL • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Knowledge of developing and integrating enterprise applications • Experience with financial technology, especially ERP and CRM • Strong understanding of software engineering principlesIf you are passionate about technology and coding and have the technical background and skillset to make an impact in the finance technology space, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  2. Develop and integrate enterprise applications.
  3. Analyze user requirements and design application architectures that meet customer needs.
  4. Collaborate with other software development teams to ensure successful implementations.
  5. Work closely with customers, stakeholders, and other development teams to create innovative solutions.
  6. Monitor and troubleshoot application performance issues.
  7. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of ERP and CRM technologies.
  8. Utilize problem-solving skills to address complex software engineering challenges.
  9. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
  10. Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
