As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making for our merchandising division.   1. Conduct financial analysis and forecasting for the Merchandise Non-Product Group (NPG) team.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial strategies for the merchandising division.
  3. Monitor and analyze key financial metrics to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  4. Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
  5. Proactively identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the merchandising division.
  6. Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
  7. Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making for the merchandising division.
  8. Communicate financial results and insights to non-financial stakeholders and provide recommendations for action.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and benchmarks to inform financial strategies and decisions.
  10. Continuously improve financial processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  11. Mentor and train junior financial analysts on best practices and methodologies.
  12. Collaborate with external partners, such as vendors and suppliers, to optimize financial performance.
  13. Uphold Nordstrom's values and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Financial Analysis, Preferably In The Retail Industry.

  • Strong Understanding Of Merchandising And Inventory Management Concepts.

  • Proficient In Financial Modeling And Data Analysis.

  • Excellent Communication And Presentation Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Financial Information To Non-Financial Stakeholders.
