Job Description

Are you passionate about fashion and love working with children? Nordstrom is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Retail Sales Associate in our Kids' Apparel and Shoes department. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional service to our young customers and their families, while also staying up-to-date on the latest fashion trends. We are looking for candidates who are outgoing, detail-oriented, and have a strong understanding of the retail industry.   1. Provide exceptional customer service to young customers and their families in the Kids' Apparel and Shoes department.
  2. Stay up-to-date on the latest fashion trends and products in the children's retail industry.
  3. Assist customers with product selection, sizing, and styling.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers.
  5. Process transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling cash, credit, and gift card payments.
  6. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and meet customer needs.
  7. Build and maintain relationships with customers to foster long-term loyalty.
  8. Proactively seek out and resolve any customer issues or concerns.
  9. Attend training and development programs to continuously improve product knowledge and sales skills.
  10. Assist with merchandising and visual displays to effectively showcase products and promote sales.
  11. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including loss prevention and inventory control.
  12. Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times, representing the Nordstrom brand.
  13. Provide guidance and recommendations to customers based on their needs and preferences.
  14. Continuously strive to meet and exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the department.
  15. Demonstrate a passion for fashion and children's apparel, and share this enthusiasm with customers.

Job Qualifications

  • Strong Knowledge Of Kids' Apparel And Shoe Trends: As A Retail Salesperson For Kids' Apparel And Shoes At Nordstrom, It Is Important To Have A Deep Understanding Of Current Fashion Trends For Children. This Includes Knowledge Of Popular Brands, Styles, And Colors.

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: Nordstrom Is Known For Its Exceptional Customer Service, And This Is Especially Important In The Kids' Apparel And Shoes Department. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Strong Communication Skills, Be Able To Listen To Customers' Needs, And Provide Personalized Recommendations And Assistance.

  • Experience In Retail Sales: Previous Experience In Retail Sales, Particularly In The Kids' Apparel And Shoes Industry, Is Highly Desirable. This Includes Knowledge Of Sales Techniques, Inventory Management, And Customer Relationship Management.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Retail Sales At Nordstrom Can Be Fast-Paced And High-Pressure, Especially During Peak Shopping Seasons. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Able To Thrive In A Busy Environment And Handle Multiple Tasks And Customers Simultaneously.

  • Attention To Detail: In Order To Ensure A Positive Shopping Experience For Customers, Attention To Detail Is Crucial. This Includes Maintaining A Clean And Organized Sales Floor, Accurately Processing Transactions, And Ensuring All Merchandise Is Properly Displayed And Priced.
