Nordstrom is seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our Kidswear & Shoes department. As a member of our team, you will have the chance to showcase your fashion expertise while providing exceptional service to our youngest customers and their families.   1. Provide excellent customer service to young customers and their families in the Kidswear & Shoes department.
  2. Utilize expert knowledge of current fashion trends to assist customers in finding the perfect outfit for their child.
  3. Maintain a welcoming and friendly environment for customers, making them feel comfortable and supported.
  4. Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences, and offer appropriate product recommendations.
  5. Effectively communicate product information, pricing, and promotions to customers.
  6. Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the store's point-of-sale system.
  7. Ensure the department is well-stocked and visually appealing at all times.
  8. Collaborate with team members and other departments to provide a seamless shopping experience for customers.
  9. Stay updated on industry and product knowledge to provide customers with accurate and relevant information.
  10. Meet and exceed sales goals by driving personal sales and providing exceptional service.
  11. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional and timely manner.
  12. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, loss prevention, inventory management, and customer service standards.
  13. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities to improve the customer experience and offer feedback to management.
  15. Act as a brand ambassador for Nordstrom, representing the company's values and image at all times.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience In Retail Sales: Candidates Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Retail Sales Role, Preferably In The Kidswear And/Or Shoes Department.

  • Knowledge Of Kidswear And Shoe Brands: A Strong Understanding Of Popular Kidswear And Shoe Brands, As Well As Current Fashion Trends In This Category, Is Essential For Effectively Assisting Customers And Making Sales.

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: The Ability To Provide Exceptional Customer Service Is Crucial In A Retail Sales Role. Candidates Should Possess Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, And Be Able To Create A Positive And Welcoming Shopping Experience For Customers.

  • Strong Sales Skills: A Successful Retail Sales Associate Should Be Able To Meet And Exceed Sales Goals, Upsell And Cross-Sell Products, And Use Effective Sales Techniques To Drive Revenue.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability: Nordstrom Is Known For Its Fast-Paced And Ever-Changing Retail Environment. Candidates Should Be Able To Adapt To Changing Situations, Handle Multiple Tasks Efficiently, And Work Well Under Pressure.
