As a Rack Store Planner, you will play a vital role in maximizing sales and profit by strategically planning and analyzing inventory levels for our Nordstrom Rack stores.   1. Develop and implement inventory plans and strategies for Nordstrom Rack stores in order to maximize sales and profit.
  2. Analyze sales data and market trends to determine appropriate inventory levels and product mix for each Rack location.
  3. Collaborate with buying and merchandising teams to ensure inventory levels align with product assortment and demand.
  4. Monitor and track inventory levels, making adjustments as needed to meet sales goals and manage costs.
  5. Work closely with store managers to understand individual store needs and make recommendations for inventory allocation.
  6. Conduct regular store visits to evaluate inventory levels, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide feedback to store teams.
  7. Utilize forecasting tools and techniques to accurately predict inventory needs and make strategic purchasing decisions.
  8. Monitor and analyze customer demand to identify potential sales opportunities and adjust inventory accordingly.
  9. Communicate regularly with cross-functional teams, including buying, merchandising, and store operations, to ensure inventory plans align with company objectives.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve inventory planning processes and strategies.
  11. Identify and resolve any inventory-related issues or challenges to maintain a seamless shopping experience for customers.
  12. Train and mentor junior team members to ensure consistency and accuracy in inventory planning processes.
  13. Maintain detailed records and reports on inventory levels, sales performance, and other key metrics.
  14. Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage inventory budgets and forecasts.
  15. Represent Nordstrom Rack in a professional and positive manner at all times, both internally and externally.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Marketing, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Retail Store Planning Or Visual Merchandising.

  • Proficiency In Microsoft Excel And Other Planning Software.

  • Strong Analytical Skills And Ability To Interpret Data To Make Strategic Decisions.

  • Proven Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously.
