As the Manager of Asset Protection, you will play a crucial role in protecting our company's assets and ensuring the safety of our customers and employees.   1. Develop and implement asset protection strategies and procedures to prevent theft, fraud, and other security risks.
  2. Train and educate store employees on proper security protocols and procedures to ensure a safe shopping environment for customers.
  3. Conduct regular audits and investigations to identify potential security threats and take appropriate action to mitigate risks.
  4. Monitor and analyze security data to identify trends and implement proactive measures to prevent losses.
  5. Collaborate with store management and external partners to develop and implement effective security measures.
  6. Supervise a team of security officers and ensure they are properly trained and equipped to handle security incidents.
  7. Manage and maintain security equipment, such as CCTV cameras and alarms, to ensure they are functioning properly.
  8. Respond to and handle security incidents, including conducting investigations and working with law enforcement if necessary.
  9. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to security incidents, investigations, and training.
  10. Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in asset protection to continuously improve and enhance the company's security measures.
  11. Implement emergency response plans and procedures in the event of a security breach or other emergency situation.
  12. Communicate effectively with store management and employees to promote a culture of security and ensure compliance with security protocols.
  13. Conduct regular risk assessments and make recommendations for improvement to upper management.
  14. Collaborate with other departments, such as loss prevention and risk management, to share information and address security concerns.
  15. Serve as a role model for excellent customer service and professionalism in all interactions with customers, employees, and external partners.

Job Qualifications
  • Previous Experience In Asset Protection: A Manager - Asset Protection At Nordstrom Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In The Retail Industry. This Will Ensure They Have A Strong Understanding Of Asset Protection Strategies And Practices.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As A Manager, This Role Requires Strong Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage A Team And Ensure The Implementation Of Asset Protection Policies And Procedures. This Includes The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Provide Guidance And Support, And Resolve Conflicts.

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: A Successful Manager - Asset Protection Must Possess Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills To Identify Potential Risks And Develop Strategies To Mitigate Them. This Includes Analyzing Data, Conducting Investigations, And Making Decisions Under Pressure.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Involves Interacting With Various Stakeholders, Including Store Employees, Customers, And Law Enforcement Agencies. A Manager - Asset Protection Should Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Communicate And Build Relationships With These Individuals.

  • Knowledge Of Security Systems And Technology: Nordstrom Utilizes Various Security Systems And Technology To Protect Its Assets, Such As Cctv Cameras, Alarm Systems, And Inventory Tracking Systems. A Manager - Asset Protection Should Have A Good Understanding Of These Systems And How To Utilize Them Effectively To Prevent Loss And Theft.
