  1. Develop and implement asset protection and loss prevention strategies to ensure the safety and security of all customers, employees, and company assets.
  2. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential threats and implement corrective actions.
  3. Create and maintain a culture of safety and security within the store, ensuring all employees are knowledgeable and trained on proper procedures and protocols.
  4. Lead and manage a team of asset protection specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure all duties are carried out effectively and efficiently.
  5. Investigate and resolve any incidents or issues related to theft, fraud, or other security concerns, utilizing proper protocols and procedures.
  6. Collaborate with other departments, such as store operations and human resources, to address and resolve any issues related to asset protection and loss prevention.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in asset protection and loss prevention, implementing new strategies and technologies as needed.
  8. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all security incidents, investigations, and training activities.
  9. Conduct regular training and development sessions for employees on safety and security procedures, promoting a culture of awareness and compliance.
  10. Communicate and collaborate with external law enforcement agencies as needed to address security concerns and incidents.
  11. Monitor and track inventory and merchandise movement to identify potential areas of risk and implement preventative measures.
  12. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and partners to enhance asset protection and loss prevention efforts.
  13. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information related to security incidents or investigations.
  14. Stay updated on company policies and procedures related to asset protection and loss prevention, ensuring all activities are in compliance with company standards.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Techniques And Strategies: A Successful Manager Of Asset Protection At Nordstrom Must Possess A Deep Understanding Of Loss Prevention Methodologies, Including Surveillance Systems, Physical Security Measures, And Inventory Management Procedures.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As A Manager, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Overseeing A Team Of Asset Protection Associates And Must Have The Ability To Motivate And Guide Team Members To Achieve Department Goals And Objectives.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Requires Frequent Communication With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Store Managers, Corporate Leaders, And Law Enforcement. The Ideal Candidate Must Have Exceptional Communication Skills To Effectively Convey Information And Build Strong Relationships.

  • Analytical And Problem-Solving Mindset: A Manager Of Asset Protection Must Be Able To Analyze Data, Identify Trends And Patterns, And Develop Solutions To Mitigate Risks And Prevent Loss.

  • Experience In Retail Or Loss Prevention Industry: Prior Experience In Retail Or Loss Prevention Is Highly Desired For This Role. Familiarity With Nordstrom's Policies And Procedures Is Also A Plus.
