  1. Create and implement strategies for identifying and mitigating risks to the company's assets.
  2. Lead a team of asset protection specialists to ensure the safety and security of physical assets, financial assets, and employees.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with law enforcement and other security partners.
  4. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
  5. Communicate and train employees on company policies and procedures related to asset protection.
  6. Investigate and report any incidents of theft, fraud, or other security breaches.
  7. Collaborate with other departments, such as HR and Operations, to develop and implement risk management protocols.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in asset protection and security.
  9. Manage and maintain the budget for the asset protection department.
  10. Maintain a safe and secure working environment for all employees and customers.
  11. Handle any escalated security-related issues and make decisions accordingly.
  12. Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations related to asset protection and security.
  13. Foster a culture of integrity and compliance within the asset protection team.
  14. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the status of asset protection initiatives and any security incidents.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Loss Prevention And Asset Protection: A Successful Candidate For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In The Retail Industry. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Security Protocols, Risk Management, And Investigation Techniques.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: As A Manager Of Asset Protection, The Candidate Must Have Excellent Leadership And Management Skills. They Should Be Able To Effectively Lead And Motivate A Team, Delegate Tasks, And Handle Conflicts Or Difficult Situations.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Role Requires The Ability To Analyze Data, Identify Trends, And Develop Effective Strategies To Prevent Loss And Protect Assets. A Successful Candidate Should Be Able To Think Critically, Make Sound Decisions, And Solve Problems Efficiently.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Manager Of Asset Protection Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Different Stakeholders, Including Store Managers, Employees, And Law Enforcement Agencies. They Should Have Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, And The Ability To Build Strong Relationships With Others.

  • Knowledge Of Laws And Regulations Related To Asset Protection: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Local, State, And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Asset Protection. They Should Also Be Familiar With Nordstrom's Policies And Procedures And Ensure Compliance Within The Team.
