Job Description

Nordstrom is currently seeking an experienced Facilities Data Engineer to join our team. We are looking for an enthusiastic professional with excellent problem-solving skills and an eye for detail who is passionate about collecting, analyzing, and managing data. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data engineering and experience in the facilities industry, as well as a customer-oriented mindset. The successful candidate will be able to effectively manage and maintain facility and operational data for Nordstrom, as well as create and optimize data processing models. In addition, they should have the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex data problems and suggest solutions to improve data accuracy and reliability.The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as computer science, engineering, or data science• At least 5 years of experience in data engineering and/or facilities data management• Proficiency in programming languages, such as SQL, Python, and Java• Knowledge of database systems, such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Oracle• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to work independently and in a team environment• Advanced problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze large datasets and identify trends

Responsibilities:

  1. Collect, analyze, and manage data related to Nordstrom's facilities and operations.
  2. Create and optimize data processing models to ensure accuracy and reliability of data.
  3. Troubleshoot and solve complex data problems.
  4. Suggest solutions to improve data accuracy and reliability.
  5. Develop and maintain databases using programming languages such as SQL, Python, and Java.
  6. Monitor and analyze data trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
  7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the facilities industry.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders.
  9. Work independently and collaboratively to accomplish team goals.
  10. Provide customer-oriented support and solutions.
