Job Description

Nordstrom is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the position of Counter Manager at our cosmetics department. In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive sales, coach and develop a team of beauty advisors, and provide exceptional service to our valued customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail and cosmetics, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of exceeding sales goals.   1. Lead and manage the cosmetics department, including driving sales, coaching and developing a team of beauty advisors, and providing exceptional service to customers.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and meet or exceed sales goals.
  3. Train and motivate beauty advisors on product knowledge, selling techniques, and customer service skills.
  4. Monitor and track sales performance of the department and individual team members.
  5. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the department.
  6. Create and maintain relationships with beauty brands and vendors to ensure product availability and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
  7. Collaborate with other department managers to ensure a seamless and exceptional customer experience.
  8. Handle any customer inquiries, complaints, or issues in a timely and professional manner.
  9. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to streamline operations and increase efficiency.
  10. Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to make strategic business decisions.
  11. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including inventory management, safety and security protocols, and budget management.
  12. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment through effective communication and leadership.
  13. Consistently maintain a high level of personal and professional knowledge in cosmetics and beauty industry.
  14. Represent the company's brand and values in all interactions with customers, team members, and vendors.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by upper management.
