  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute merchandise assortments that align with company strategies and goals.
  2. Utilize analytical tools and data to analyze sales trends, customer behavior, and market insights to make informed assortment decisions.
  3. Work closely with buyers and planners to ensure accurate inventory levels and timely replenishment of top-selling items.
  4. Create and maintain assortment plans for each category, ensuring a balanced and cohesive product mix.
  5. Conduct regular competitive analysis to identify opportunities and risks in the market.
  6. Monitor and react to sales performance, making recommendations for adjustments to drive sales and margin.
  7. Partner with visual merchandising teams to ensure optimal product placement and presentation in stores.
  8. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies to drive sales and optimize inventory levels.
  9. Communicate assortment plans and strategies with key stakeholders, including buying and planning teams, to ensure alignment and understanding.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry and market trends, as well as consumer behavior, to make informed recommendations for assortment strategies.
  11. Maintain accuracy and integrity of data and reporting related to merchandise assortments.
  12. Support and contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture, fostering innovation and growth.
  13. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including inventory management and budget guidelines.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in assortment planning.
  15. Represent the Nordstrom brand and values through exceptional work ethic and customer service.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Fashion Merchandising, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Retail Buying Or Planning, Preferably In The Fashion Industry.

  • Strong Analytical And Mathematical Skills, With Proficiency In Microsoft Excel.

  • Knowledge Of Retail Math And Inventory Management Principles.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills To Work Effectively With Cross-Functional Teams And Vendors.
