- Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify opportunities for product development and improvement.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of product development timelines and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Conduct product testing and provide feedback to ensure products meet established standards and specifications.
- Continuously monitor and assess product performance and sales data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for product enhancements.
- Coordinate and manage product samples and prototypes, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Assist in the development of product packaging and labeling, ensuring they align with brand standards and regulations.
- Maintain product documentation and records, including specifications, cost sheets, and sample logs.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and consumer preferences to inform product development decisions.
- Collaborate with the marketing and merchandising teams to create product launch plans and ensure successful product launches.
- Support the Product Development Manager in day-to-day tasks and projects as needed.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the retail industry and Nordstrom's brand identity to effectively contribute to product development strategies.
- Continuously seek ways to improve and optimize product development processes and procedures.
- Take ownership of assigned projects and ensure they are completed accurately, efficiently, and within established timelines.
Bachelor's Degree In Fashion Design Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Product Development Or Design Within The Retail Industry.
Strong Understanding Of Fashion Trends And Market Analysis.
Proficient In Adobe Creative Suite And Microsoft Office.
Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment And Meet Tight Deadlines.
