
Asset Protection - Coordinator

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Asset Protection Coordinator to join our team and help us protect our assets. As the Asset Protection Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our merchandise, minimizing loss, and promoting a culture of safety and security within our stores. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and has a strong understanding of inventory control procedures. - Develop and implement asset protection policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of Nordstrom's merchandise and assets.
- Monitor and identify potential risks, such as theft, fraud, and safety hazards, and take appropriate action to prevent or minimize losses.
- Conduct regular audits and surveillance to identify any vulnerabilities or security breaches within the store.
- Collaborate with store management and other departments to develop strategies for mitigating risks and preventing losses.
- Train and educate employees on asset protection protocols and procedures, including proper handling and storage of merchandise, and how to identify and report suspicious activities.
- Investigate and document any incidents of theft, fraud, or safety hazards, and report findings to the appropriate parties.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and ensure proper inventory control procedures are followed.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and legal teams in cases of theft, fraud, or other criminal activities.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in asset protection to continuously improve Nordstrom's asset protection strategies.
- Act as a point of contact for employees and customers regarding any safety or security concerns, and address and escalate any issues as needed.
Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Business Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, Or Security.
Strong Understanding Of Retail Operations And Inventory Management.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
Proficient In Microsoft Office And Knowledge Of Security And Surveillance Systems.
