Job Description

As our Asset Protection Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the protection of our company's assets and minimizing loss. We are looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about maintaining the highest level of safety and security within our stores.   1. Develop and implement effective strategies for asset protection and loss prevention in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  2. Monitor store operations and identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
  3. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.
  4. Collaborate with store management to train and educate employees on theft prevention and safety measures.
  5. Investigate and report any incidents of theft, fraud, or other suspicious activities.
  6. Monitor surveillance systems and respond to any alarms or security breaches.
  7. Maintain accurate records of security incidents and provide reports to upper management as needed.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in asset protection and implement any necessary changes.
  9. Work closely with law enforcement and other external partners to resolve security-related issues.
  10. Conduct interviews and interrogations as necessary to gather information and evidence.
  11. Manage and maintain inventory control procedures and ensure accuracy of inventory levels.
  12. Handle and resolve any customer or employee concerns related to safety and security.
  13. Collaborate with other department heads to implement company-wide security initiatives.
  14. Continuously assess and improve security protocols and procedures to ensure the highest level of protection for company assets.
  15. Remain vigilant and proactive in identifying and addressing potential security threats.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Loss Prevention: A Successful Asset Protection Coordinator At Nordstrom Should Have A Strong Background In Loss Prevention And Security Operations. This Includes Knowledge Of Industry Best Practices, Security Systems, And Investigative Techniques.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: As An Asset Protection Coordinator, You Will Need To Communicate Effectively With Both Internal And External Stakeholders. This Includes Training And Coaching Store Employees On Security Procedures, Conducting Interviews And Investigations, And Collaborating With Law Enforcement.

  • Attention To Detail: The Role Of An Asset Protection Coordinator Requires A Keen Eye For Detail To Identify Potential Security Risks And Prevent Loss. This Includes Monitoring Surveillance Footage, Conducting Audits, And Analyzing Data To Identify Trends And Patterns.

  • Strong Leadership Abilities: Nordstrom Values Individuals Who Can Lead And Inspire Others. As An Asset Protection Coordinator, You Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Security Personnel, Coordinating With Store Managers, And Implementing Loss Prevention Strategies.

  • Knowledge Of Legal And Compliance Standards: A Strong Understanding Of Legal And Compliance Standards Related To Loss Prevention Is Essential For This Role. This Includes Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws, Company Policies, And The Ability To Ensure All Security Protocols Are In Line With These Regulations.
