  1. Monitor store entrances and exits to prevent theft and maintain a safe and secure shopping environment for customers.
  2. Conduct regular patrols of the store to deter and detect any suspicious activity.
  3. Use surveillance equipment and systems to identify and document any potential theft or security concerns.
  4. Work closely with store management and other team members to develop and implement effective loss prevention strategies.
  5. Train and educate store employees on proper security procedures and protocols.
  6. Respond quickly and appropriately to any security incidents or emergencies.
  7. Conduct thorough investigations into any reported theft or security incidents.
  8. Compile and maintain accurate records and reports related to security incidents, inventory discrepancies, and other relevant data.
  9. Communicate effectively with customers to provide a positive and welcoming shopping experience while also enforcing store policies and procedures.
  10. Collaborate with external agencies, such as law enforcement, as needed to address security concerns.
  11. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in asset protection to continuously improve our security measures.
  12. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security guidelines.
  13. Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor at all times, representing the Nordstrom brand with integrity and excellence.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by store management.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Retail Security: A Successful Asset Protection - Agent At Nordstrom Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Retail Security, Preferably In A High-End Or Luxury Retail Environment.

  • Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Techniques: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Loss Prevention Techniques, Such As Cctv Monitoring, Inventory Control, And Fraud Detection.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As An Asset Protection - Agent, The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Both Customers And Colleagues Is Crucial. Candidates Should Possess Excellent Verbal And Written Communication Skills.

  • Attention To Detail: Attention To Detail Is Essential In Identifying Potential Security Threats And Preventing Loss. The Candidate Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Identify Suspicious Behavior.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Nordstrom Is A Fast-Paced Retail Environment, And The Ideal Candidate Should Thrive In This Type Of Setting. The Candidate Should Be Able To Work Well Under Pressure And Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously.
