  1. Conduct regular patrols of the store to identify potential security threats and risks.
  2. Monitor surveillance cameras and react quickly to any suspicious behavior or activity.
  3. Work closely with store management to develop and implement security protocols and procedures.
  4. Utilize strong communication and observation skills to identify and apprehend shoplifters.
  5. Conduct thorough investigations into any incidents of theft or fraud.
  6. Train and educate store employees on security and loss prevention measures.
  7. Collaborate with law enforcement and legal teams when necessary.
  8. Maintain accurate records of all security incidents and reports.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in security technology.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with any security concerns or issues.
  11. Monitor and control access to sensitive areas of the store, such as cash registers and stock rooms.
  12. Conduct audits of merchandise and cash registers to ensure accuracy and prevent theft.
  13. Respond quickly and effectively to any emergency situations.
  14. Continuously assess and improve security procedures and protocols.
  15. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with customers and employees.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Security Or Loss Prevention: A Strong Candidate For An Asset Protection - Agent Position At Nordstrom Should Have Prior Experience In Security Or Loss Prevention, Ideally In A Retail Setting. This Will Demonstrate An Understanding Of The Principles And Procedures Involved In Protecting Company Assets.

  • Knowledge Of Retail Operations: Along With Experience In Security, Candidates Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Retail Operations And The Potential Risks And Vulnerabilities Associated With Them. This Includes Knowledge Of Store Layout, Inventory Management, And Customer Behavior.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As An Asset Protection - Agent, The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Both Colleagues And Customers Is Essential. This Includes The Ability To De-Escalate Tense Situations And Interact With Individuals From Diverse Backgrounds.

  • Attention To Detail: Asset Protection Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail In Order To Identify Potential Risks And Implement Preventative Measures. Candidates Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And The Ability To Spot Discrepancies Or Suspicious Behavior.

  • Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team: Asset Protection Often Involves Working Independently, But Also Requires Collaboration With Other Team Members And Departments. Candidates Should Be Able To Work Well In Both Environments And Be Adaptable To Changing Situations.
