- Monitor and patrol store premises to prevent theft and maintain a safe environment for employees and customers.
- Utilize surveillance systems and conduct thorough investigations to identify potential theft and fraud.
- Collaborate with store management to develop and implement proactive strategies to prevent loss.
- Identify and apprehend individuals suspected of theft or fraudulent activities.
- Conduct interviews and gather evidence to support internal investigations.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of incidents, investigations, and apprehensions.
- Monitor and enforce store safety policies and procedures.
- Train and educate store employees on theft prevention and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with law enforcement and other external partners as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in asset protection and safety techniques.
Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Techniques: A Successful Asset Protection Agent At Nordstrom Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Various Loss Prevention Techniques Such As Cctv Monitoring, Inventory Management, And Store Policies And Procedures.
Strong Communication Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Both Customers And Store Employees Is Crucial For An Asset Protection Agent. They Should Be Able To Handle Difficult Situations With Tact And Diplomacy.
Attention To Detail: As An Asset Protection Agent, One Must Have Strong Observational Skills And Attention To Detail To Identify Potential Security Threats And Effectively Prevent Loss.
Physical Fitness: The Job Of An Asset Protection Agent May Require Physical Activity Such As Chasing A Suspected Shoplifter Or Standing For Long Periods Of Time. Therefore, Being Physically Fit Is An Important Qualification For This Role.
