  1. Monitor store activities to identify potential security risks and suspicious behavior.
  2. Conduct thorough investigations into any security incidents or breaches.
  3. Collaborate with store management to implement security protocols and procedures.
  4. Communicate effectively with customers, employees, and law enforcement personnel during security incidents.
  5. Train and educate store employees on security procedures and protocols.
  6. Monitor and analyze security footage and report any irregularities or suspicious activity.
  7. Conduct regular audits of inventory and cash to ensure accuracy and prevent theft.
  8. Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations, such as fires or medical emergencies.
  9. Maintain and update security logs and reports.
  10. Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and new security technologies.
  11. Work closely with law enforcement agencies to assist in investigations and prosecutions.
  12. Continuously assess and improve security procedures to ensure the safety of customers, employees, and company assets.
  13. Act as a role model for customer service, professionalism, and integrity within the store.
  14. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  15. Communicate any security concerns or issues to upper management.
  16. Attend and participate in training and development programs to enhance job knowledge and skills.
  17. Demonstrate a strong understanding of Nordstrom's policies and procedures.
  18. Adhere to all safety and security guidelines and regulations.
  19. Conduct regular checks of store exits, entrances, and alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  20. Serve as a positive representative of Nordstrom and the Asset Protection team at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Prior Experience In Retail Security Or Loss Prevention: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Retail Environment, Is Required To Be Considered For The Position.

  • Knowledge Of Asset Protection Practices And Procedures: A Strong Understanding Of Inventory Control, Surveillance, And Investigation Techniques Is Necessary To Effectively Protect Nordstrom's Assets.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As An Agent, You Will Be Interacting With Customers, Employees, And Management, So Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For Building Relationships And Resolving Conflicts.

  • Attention To Detail And Ability To Handle High-Pressure Situations: Asset Protection Agents Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Handle High-Stress Situations, Such As Dealing With Potential Shoplifters Or Employee Theft.

  • Strong Problem-Solving And Critical Thinking Abilities: In Order To Effectively Protect Nordstrom's Assets, Agents Must Be Able To Think On Their Feet And Come Up With Creative Solutions To Prevent And Address Potential Security Threats.
