Apparel Assistant Tech Designer

We are looking for an Apparel Assistant Tech Designer to join the Nordstrom team! This role requires a creative, organized, and detail-oriented individual who is eager to learn and contribute to the design process. The Apparel Assistant Tech Designer will work closely with the Apparel Tech Designers and will be responsible for the daily operations of the apparel tech design process.The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong understanding of apparel design, garment construction, and a passion for fashion. The Apparel Assistant Tech Designer should have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the team. They should also have a strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel. Responsibilities:

1. Assist Apparel Tech Designers in daily operations of the apparel tech design process
2. Utilize Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel to create designs and garments
3. Analyze and critique designs for accuracy and quality
4. Maintain detailed records of design process and garment construction
5. Research current fashion trends and create designs that are in line with those trends
6. Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure designs and garments are produced on time
7. Conduct fabric and material tests to ensure quality and durability of garments
8. Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
9. Assist in product development and cost analysis
10. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
