  1. Manage and protect the company's valuable intellectual property assets, including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets.
  2. Conduct thorough research and analysis of existing patents and potential new patents.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams to identify and develop new patentable ideas and inventions.
  4. Draft and file patent applications with relevant patent offices.
  5. Communicate with external patent attorneys and agents to ensure timely and accurate filing of patent applications.
  6. Monitor and maintain the company's patent portfolio, including tracking and renewing existing patents.
  7. Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams regarding patent-related matters.
  8. Stay up-to-date on patent laws and regulations to ensure compliance and make recommendations for improvement.
  9. Conduct patent infringement analyses and provide support for legal proceedings, if necessary.
  10. Act as a subject matter expert on patent law and provide training and guidance to other team members.
  11. Identify potential opportunities for collaboration or partnerships based on patent landscape analysis.
  12. Represent the company in patent-related meetings and conferences.
  13. Contribute to the development and implementation of intellectual property strategies.
  14. Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks to the company's intellectual property assets.
  15. Maintain accurate and organized documentation related to patents and patent applications.
  16. Uphold the company's values and ethical standards in all patent-related activities.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Law Or A Related Field: A Senior Patent Specialist At Nokia Is Expected To Have A Strong Educational Background In Law, With A Focus On Intellectual Property And Patent Law.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Patent Prosecution: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Patent Prosecution, Preferably With A Technology Company Or Law Firm.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Patent Laws And Regulations: This Role Requires A Thorough Understanding Of Patent Laws And Regulations, Both In The United States And Globally. The Candidate Should Have Experience In Drafting And Prosecuting Patents, As Well As Conducting Patent Searches And Analysis.

  • Technical Expertise In The Telecommunications Industry: As Nokia Is A Leading Technology Company In The Telecommunications Industry, The Senior Patent Specialist Should Have A Strong Technical Background And Understanding Of The Industry.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Involves Working Closely With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Engineers, Lawyers, And Business Leaders.
