- Manage and maintain Nokia's portfolio of Standard Essential Patents (SEP) and Technical Agreements (TA).
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in patent law to ensure maximum protection of Nokia's intellectual property assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and assess potential patent infringement risks.
- Develop and implement strategies for licensing Nokia's patents to maximize revenue and market share.
- Negotiate and draft patent licenses, technology agreements, and other legal documents related to Nokia's intellectual property.
- Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on intellectual property matters.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to support patent litigation and disputes.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with patent licensing agreements.
- Stay informed on industry developments and changes in patent law to anticipate potential challenges or opportunities for Nokia.
- Represent Nokia in meetings with industry partners, government agencies, and other external parties.
- Train and mentor junior patent counsel and legal team members.
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements to streamline patent management and licensing processes.
- Prepare and present reports and updates on Nokia's patent portfolio to senior management.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel and manage relationships with outside patent experts.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all patent-related activities and agreements.
Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School With A Focus On Patent Law.
Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience As A Patent Attorney, With A Strong Background In Multimedia Technologies And Standard Essential Patents (Sep).
Extensive Knowledge Of Patent Laws And Regulations, Particularly In The Field Of Multimedia And Telecommunications.
Experience With Patent Litigation And Licensing, Including Drafting And Negotiating Sep Agreements.
Strong Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Internal Teams And External Stakeholders.
