- Develop and maintain relationships with external patent attorneys and agents to ensure high-quality and timely prosecution of patent applications.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and documentation related to patent applications and patents.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders, including engineers, inventors, and management, to gather information and ensure timely and accurate completion of patent-related tasks.
- Actively participate in patent infringement litigation by providing technical and legal support to the legal team.
- Conduct patent searches and prior art analysis to assist in patentability assessments and freedom-to-operate opinions.
- Assist in drafting and negotiating patent-related agreements, such as licensing and confidentiality agreements.
- Collaborate with the legal team to develop and implement patent-related policies and procedures for the company.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure the protection of sensitive information relating to patent applications and patent portfolio.
- Continuously improve and streamline patent processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Bachelor's Degree In Law Or A Related Field: A Strong Understanding Of Patent Law And Intellectual Property Rights Is Essential For A Patent Specialist At Nokia. A Bachelor's Degree In Law Or A Related Field Provides The Necessary Foundation For This Knowledge.
Experience In Patent Prosecution: Experience In Drafting And Prosecuting Patent Applications Is A Key Qualification For A Patent Specialist At Nokia. This Includes Conducting Patentability Searches, Preparing Patent Applications, And Responding To Office Actions.
