Applications Architect

NEXT plc is looking for a talented, experienced Applications Architect to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and management of our application portfolio, providing expertise and strategy to ensure our applications are kept up to date and aligned with our business objectives. To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field, and at least 10 years' experience in application architecture and development. You must also have a proven track record of developing and deploying applications in an enterprise environment, and excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills. Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop applications that align with NEXT plc's business objectives and goals.
2. Monitor the application portfolio and ensure applications are up to date and functioning correctly.
3. Research, analyze, design, and develop application architecture solutions.
4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure that applications meet the needs of the organization.
5. Provide technical guidance and leadership to developers and other stakeholders.
6. Develop and implement strategies to optimize application performance and scalability.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
8. Monitor application trends and recommend changes accordingly.
9. Participate in the creation and maintenance of system documentation.
10. Stay abreast of new technologies and industry best practices.
