Job Description

The User Experience Designer & Researcher role is critical in the growth of user experience in the Client Servicing group at New York Life. UX design & research for digital service products and engagement campaigns that impact our customers, agents, and service professionals. Utilize research tools to moderate user feedback sessions, synthesize insights, and make recommendations. Report on competitive and comparative features, patterns, and design trends. Create, iterate and collaborate on research, user-flows, journey maps, competitor feature analysis, and initial concept designs to high fidelity designs with functional specifications. Organize, prioritize and project manage design deliverables from early requirements gathering through development handoff and validation of design in development. Create and collaborate on strategic presentations and infographics for executive audiences.

Job Qualifications

  • Insurance industry experience preferred, but not required

  • 2+ years of experience in UX design, product design, or visual design

  • Familiar with user research, design thinking, and digital customer experience design

  • Experience in adapting to change across broad and complex organizations
