Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement data analytics strategies that support the overall business objectives of New York Life.
- Lead and direct a team of data analysts, modelers, and portfolio managers to drive actionable insights and recommendations for key business decisions.
- Utilize data analytics techniques and tools to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data from various sources to develop accurate and comprehensive reports and presentations for senior leadership.
- Develop and maintain statistical models to forecast and analyze business performance, including customer behavior, market trends, and financial performance.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing portfolios and make recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analytics, modeling, and portfolio management to continuously enhance the company's capabilities and drive competitive advantage.
- Work closely with IT teams to ensure data integrity and accuracy, troubleshoot any issues, and implement data governance policies.
- Communicate complex data and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment on data-driven initiatives.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Proactively identify and address potential risks and opportunities within the data analytics and portfolio management functions.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to drive business growth and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to data privacy and security.
- Represent New York Life at industry events and conferences, showcasing the company's data analytics capabilities and expertise.
- Perform any other duties or projects as assigned by senior leadership.
Extensive Experience In Data Analytics: The Senior Director Should Have A Strong Background In Data Analytics, Including Predictive Modeling, Data Mining, And Statistical Analysis. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Leveraging Data To Drive Business Decisions And Improve Portfolio Performance.
Leadership And Management Skills: As A Senior Leader At New York Life, The Senior Director Must Have Exceptional Leadership And Management Skills. They Should Be Able To Build And Lead A High-Performing Team, Delegate Tasks Effectively, And Provide Guidance And Mentorship To Team Members.
Knowledge Of Financial Markets And Portfolio Management: The Senior Director Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Financial Markets, Including Trends, Risks, And Opportunities. They Should Also Have Experience In Portfolio Management And Be Able To Make Strategic Investment Decisions To Optimize Performance.
Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: In Addition To Technical Expertise, The Senior Director Should Possess Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills.
