Job Description

"Join our dynamic team at New York Life as a Senior Associate - Scrum Master in our Enterprise Agile Enablement Team. We are looking for an experienced and driven individual who is passionate about Agile methodologies and can drive successful delivery of projects within our organization. As a Scrum Master, you will play a crucial role in leading and guiding our teams towards Agile transformation, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.   1. Lead Agile Transformation: The Senior Associate - Scrum Master will be responsible for leading the organization's Agile transformation by implementing processes, tools, and practices to promote Agile methodologies across the enterprise.
  2. Facilitate Agile Processes: The Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating Agile processes and ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews to ensure effective and efficient project delivery.
  3. Promote Collaboration: The Senior Associate will promote collaboration and teamwork within and across teams by fostering a culture of transparency, trust, and open communication.
  4. Drive Continuous Improvement: The Scrum Master will continuously assess and improve the Agile processes and practices to increase efficiency and productivity, and ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
  5. Coach and Train Teams: The Senior Associate will provide coaching and training to teams and stakeholders on Agile principles, practices, and frameworks to ensure a deep understanding and adoption of Agile methodologies.
  6. Remove Roadblocks: The Scrum Master will identify and remove any impediments or roadblocks that may hinder the team's progress towards project completion.
  7. Facilitate Communication: The Senior Associate will facilitate communication and collaboration between the development team and product owners to ensure a clear understanding of project goals and priorities.
  8. Ensure Delivery of Projects: The Scrum Master will be responsible for ensuring the timely and successful delivery of projects within the organization by monitoring progress and addressing any issues or risks that may arise.
  9. Mentor Junior Team Members: The Senior Associate will mentor and guide junior team members in Agile principles and practices, and help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  10. Stay Updated on Industry Trends: The Scrum Master will stay updated on the latest industry trends and best practices in Agile methodologies and incorporate them into the organization's processes and practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Scrum Master Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience As A Scrum Master, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Implementing And Managing Agile Methodologies In Large Organizations.

  • Agile Certification: A Senior Associate - Scrum Master Should Hold A Certified Scrum Master (Csm) Or Other Relevant Agile Certification, Demonstrating A Deep Understanding Of Agile Principles And Practices.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Lead And Motivate Cross-Functional Teams, Including Product Owners, Developers, And Business Stakeholders. The Candidate Should Have Experience In Coaching And Mentoring Team Members To Improve Their Agile Practices.

  • Enterprise Agile Experience: The Enterprise Agile Enablement Team At New York Life Is Responsible For Driving Agile Adoption And Transformation Across The Organization. Therefore, The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Working In A Similar Role And Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Challenges And Best Practices For Scaling Agile In An Enterprise Environment.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: As A Senior Associate - Scrum Master, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Facilitating Meetings, Resolving Conflicts, And Communicating Progress To Stakeholders At All Levels Of The Organization. Therefore, Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
