We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join our team as a Long-Term Care (LTC) Insurance Underwriter. In this role, you will play a critical role in evaluating and assessing risk for our LTC insurance products, ensuring the financial security and peace of mind for our policyholders.   1. Evaluate and assess risk for Long-Term Care insurance products in accordance with company guidelines and standards.
  2. Utilize underwriting principles and techniques to accurately evaluate and rate policy applications.
  3. Review and analyze medical records, financial information, and other relevant data to make informed underwriting decisions.
  4. Communicate effectively with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and provide updates on underwriting decisions.
  5. Identify and investigate potential red flags or discrepancies in policy applications and take appropriate action.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and changes in underwriting guidelines to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  7. Collaborate with other departments, such as claims and sales, to provide support and expertise on underwriting matters.
  8. Mentor and train junior underwriters on underwriting principles, guidelines, and best practices.
  9. Participate in special projects and initiatives to improve underwriting processes and procedures.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service to policyholders and agents by addressing inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  11. Maintain accurate and organized underwriting records and documentation.
  12. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  13. Continuously strive to improve underwriting skills and knowledge through ongoing training and development opportunities.
  14. Represent New York Life in a positive and professional manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Finance, Or A Related Field.
