- Develop and implement effective government relations strategies to advance the company's interests and priorities.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments at the local, state, and federal levels and analyze their potential impact on the company.
- Build and maintain relationships with key government officials, legislators, and regulators to promote the company's positions and advocate for policies that align with our business goals.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize legislative and regulatory issues that may impact the company and develop action plans to address them.
- Track and report on relevant legislative and regulatory activities to keep the company informed and prepared to respond.
- Conduct research and analysis on policy issues and communicate findings and recommendations to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Represent the company at government meetings, hearings, and other events, and effectively communicate our positions and concerns.
- Work closely with industry groups and coalitions to advance shared objectives and build support for the company's positions.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the political landscape and proactively identify potential risks and opportunities for the company.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in government relations to continuously improve and enhance our approach.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all government relations activities.
- Collaborate with the communications team to develop messaging and materials for government relations efforts.
- Provide support to other departments and teams as needed on government relations matters.
- Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Political Science, Public Policy, Or A Related Field
At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Government Affairs, Public Policy, Or A Related Field
Strong Understanding Of The Legislative And Regulatory Processes At The Local, State, And Federal Levels
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships With Key Stakeholders And Government Officials
Knowledge Of The Insurance Industry And Experience Working With Insurance-Related Legislation And Regulations Is Preferred.
