  1. Develop and implement data governance processes to ensure the accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity of data across the organization.
  2. Lead the data governance team in developing and maintaining data standards, policies and procedures.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data governance needs and requirements.
  4. Monitor and assess data quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  5. Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement in data governance processes.
  6. Provide guidance and training to employees on data governance policies and procedures.
  7. Identify and mitigate potential risks related to data governance.
  8. Develop and maintain data governance documentation.
  9. Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in data governance.
  10. Work closely with IT teams to ensure data governance processes are effectively implemented.
  11. Communicate data governance initiatives and progress to senior management and stakeholders.
  12. Lead cross-functional teams to drive data governance projects and initiatives.
  13. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure data governance processes are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  14. Participate in data governance meetings and forums to share knowledge and insights.

Job Qualifications

  • Strong Understanding Of Data Governance Principles: The Data Governance Process Lead At New York Life Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Data Governance Principles, Including Data Quality, Data Privacy, And Data Security.

  • Experience In Data Management: Candidates For This Role Should Have A Solid Background In Data Management, Including Data Governance, Data Architecture, And Data Integration.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: The Data Governance Process Lead Will Be Responsible For Communicating Complex Data Concepts To A Variety Of Stakeholders, Including Senior Leadership. Therefore, Strong Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, Are Essential For This Role.

  • Project Management Experience: As The Primary Owner Of The Data Governance Process, The Data Governance Process Lead Must Have Experience In Project Management And Be Able To Lead Cross-Functional Teams To Achieve Data Governance Goals.

  • Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: New York Life Operates In A Highly Regulated Industry, And The Data Governance Process Lead Must Have A Deep Understanding Of Relevant Regulations Such As Gdpr, Ccpa, And Hipaa To Ensure Compliance In All Data Governance Processes.
