We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Vice President - Lead Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading our site reliability engineering efforts, ensuring the reliability, availability, and scalability of our technology systems.   1. Develop and implement strategies to improve the reliability, availability, and scalability of our technology systems.
  2. Lead a team of site reliability engineers to ensure the successful execution of these strategies.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues that impact system performance.
  4. Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues before they become critical.
  5. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices for site reliability engineering.
  6. Implement automation tools and processes to streamline system maintenance and troubleshooting.
  7. Continuously evaluate and improve our technology infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of our business.
  8. Manage and prioritize multiple projects and initiatives to meet business objectives and timelines.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in site reliability engineering to drive innovation within our organization.
  10. Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and support to other teams within the organization.
  11. Maintain a culture of continuous improvement and foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  12. Develop and oversee the budget for site reliability engineering initiatives.
  13. Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on the status of site reliability engineering efforts.
  14. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards for technology systems.
  15. Represent the company in relevant industry events and conferences.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Site Reliability Engineering: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Site Reliability Engineering, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading And Managing Large-Scale Projects.

  • Strong Leadership And Management Skills: As A Corporate Vice President, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Site Reliability Engineers. They Should Possess Excellent Leadership And Management Skills To Effectively Guide And Motivate Their Team Towards Achieving Company Goals.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Cloud Infrastructure: New York Life Is A Cloud-First Company, And The Corporate Vice President Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Cloud Infrastructure, Including Aws, Azure, And Google Cloud. They Should Also Have Experience In Implementing And Managing Highly Available And Scalable Systems In The Cloud.

  • Expertise In Automation And Devops Practices: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Automation And Devops Practices, Including Infrastructure As Code, Continuous Integration And Delivery, And Monitoring Tools. They Should Also Have Experience In Implementing And Managing Automation And Devops Processes In A Large Organization.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: As A Leader In The Organization, The Corporate Vice President Should Possess Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills. They Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate Complex Technical Concepts To Non-Technical Stakeholders And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams To Drive Successful Outcomes.
