- Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance program for New York Life, including policies, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
- Oversee and manage all compliance operations, including monitoring, testing, and reporting to senior management and regulatory agencies.
- Lead a team of compliance professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure a high level of performance and achievement of objectives.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies to proactively address potential compliance issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of potential risk and develop solutions to ensure compliance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and industry best practices, and implement any necessary changes to ensure continuous compliance.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with regulatory agencies and other external stakeholders.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance matters and provide guidance and support to other departments within the organization.
- Conduct investigations and audits as needed to identify and address potential compliance violations.
- Develop and implement training programs to educate employees on compliance policies and procedures.
- Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and regulatory agencies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of compliance operations.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all compliance activities and documentation.
- Act as a liaison between the organization and regulatory agencies, responding to inquiries and requests for information.
- Participate in company-wide initiatives and projects to ensure compliance considerations are taken into account.
Strong Knowledge Of Compliance Regulations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Relevant Compliance Regulations And Laws, Both At The State And Federal Level. This Includes Knowledge Of Insurance Regulations, Anti-Money Laundering Laws, And Privacy Laws.
Leadership Experience: The Compliance Operations Lead Should Have Previous Experience In A Leadership Role, Preferably In A Compliance Or Risk Management Setting. The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing A Team And Driving Results.
Analytical Skills: This Role Requires A Candidate Who Is Highly Analytical And Detail-Oriented. The Compliance Operations Lead Will Be Responsible For Analyzing Complex Compliance Data And Identifying Areas Of Improvement Or Risk. Strong Analytical Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
