  1. Conduct research on legislative and regulatory issues that impact the business of New York Life.
  2. Analyze and interpret data and information related to government policies and procedures.
  3. Monitor and track legislative and regulatory developments that may impact the company.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials and industry organizations.
  5. Communicate complex information and analysis to various internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential risks and opportunities related to government policies.
  7. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in government regulations and their potential impact on the company.
  8. Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials to inform decision-making processes.
  9. Provide support and assistance to the Office of Governmental Affairs team as needed.
  10. Proactively identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for enhancing the company's government relations strategy.
  11. Maintain a strong understanding of the company's business objectives and how they align with government policies.
  12. Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards in all aspects of work.
  13. Take ownership of projects and tasks assigned, ensuring they are completed accurately and within established timelines.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth in the field of governmental affairs.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Political Science, Public Policy, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Government Affairs Or Related Field

  • Strong Understanding Of The Legislative And Regulatory Processes At The Federal And State Levels

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships And Work Effectively With Government Officials And Stakeholders

  • Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Experience With Data Analysis And Reporting Tools
