Underwriter

Nelnet is looking for a hardworking, detail-oriented Underwriter to join our team! This important role is responsible for assessing credit risk on loan applications to ensure that the company meets all of its regulatory and compliance obligations. 6. Maintain records of all underwriting activities and decisions.
7. Stay current on industry trends and changes to regulatory requirements.
8. Develop and implement procedures for underwriting processes.
9. Identify potential areas of risk, recommend corrective action when appropriate.
10. Collaborate with other departments as needed to ensure all loan requirements are met.
