Job Description

Nelnet is looking for an innovative, experienced Risk Management Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in risk assessment and analysis, and will be responsible for helping to develop solutions to mitigate potential risks. We are looking for someone with excellent problem solving skills, the ability to work in a team environment, and the willingness to take initiative.The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, math, or a related field, and at least 3 years of experience in the risk management field. Knowledge of financial markets, models, and analytics is highly desirable. Additionally, the successful candidate will have a strong understanding of financial regulations and the ability to think strategically. The ideal candidate will also have a proven ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze existing risk strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  2. Develop and implement risk management plans to mitigate potential risks.
  3. Monitor financial markets, models, and analytics to provide insights into potential risks.
  4. Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to assess risk exposure and potential losses.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Consistently monitor and report on risk management processes and procedures.
  7. Analyze financial regulations and recommend any changes that could improve risk management processes.
  8. Provide advice and guidance on risk management strategies to senior management.
  9. Prepare risk management reports and presentations for senior management.
  10. Provide training and guidance to junior staff members.
