Nelnet is looking for an experienced Loan Servicing Specialist to join our team and help manage our portfolio of loan products. This individual should have an in-depth understanding of loan servicing and a passion for helping customers.The ideal candidate for this position should have excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, be highly organized, and have a strong attention to detail. A Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field is preferred, along with a minimum of two years of loan servicing experience.The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable working independently and in a team-oriented environment. The Loan Servicing Specialist will be a key member of our team, responsible for providing outstanding customer service, managing loan payments and collections, and assisting with loan origination and servicing.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of loan products, including loan origination and servicing.
- Provide outstanding customer service to clients and customers.
- Process loan payments and collections.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve customer complaints.
- Maintain accurate records of loan servicing activities.
- Monitor loan accounts for delinquency and take appropriate action to collect payments.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve loan servicing processes.
- Assist with loan origination and underwriting processes.
- Prepare reports and documents for loan servicing activities.
- Remain up-to-date on industry trends and regulations.
