
IT Support Specialist
At Nelnet, we are looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our team and help us provide world-class technical assistance to our customers. The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of computer systems and networks, as well as excellent customer service and problem-solving skills. They will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, as well as providing technical support for users.To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with at least two years of experience in IT support. You should have a strong understanding of networking concepts and principles, as well as experience with a variety of operating systems and network hardware. You must also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to communicate effectively with customers.If you are a motivated, reliable person who wants to join a customer-focused team, then this may be the perfect job for you. Responsibilities:
- Provide world-class technical assistance to customers to resolve technical issues
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical problems
- Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of computer systems and networks
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software
- Provide technical support to users, including assistance with operating systems and applications
- Manage customer accounts and ensure that customer service requests are handled in a timely manner
- Create and update knowledge base articles to assist users with common questions
- Monitor and analyze network performance and security
- Test and evaluate new technologies
- Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and technologies
