Job Description

At Nelnet, we are looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our team and help us provide world-class technical assistance to our customers. The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of computer systems and networks, as well as excellent customer service and problem-solving skills. They will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, as well as providing technical support for users.To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with at least two years of experience in IT support. You should have a strong understanding of networking concepts and principles, as well as experience with a variety of operating systems and network hardware. You must also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to communicate effectively with customers.If you are a motivated, reliable person who wants to join a customer-focused team, then this may be the perfect job for you. Responsibilities:

Provide world-class technical assistance to customers to resolve technical issues
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical problems
Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of computer systems and networks
Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software
Provide technical support to users, including assistance with operating systems and applications
Manage customer accounts and ensure that customer service requests are handled in a timely manner
Create and update knowledge base articles to assist users with common questions
Monitor and analyze network performance and security
Test and evaluate new technologies
Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and technologies
