Job Description

Nelnet is looking for an experienced and multi-talented Corporate Communications Specialist to join our corporate team. Our ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who is passionate about crafting and delivering effective, impactful content to a variety of audiences. The successful candidate will have a background in corporate communications, public relations, and marketing, and will be able to quickly transition between different writing styles.The Corporate Communications Specialist will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the company’s presence in the media, including the development of press releases and other content, as well as managing media inquiries and developing relationships with key media contacts. This individual will be a key member of the corporate communications team, helping to create a unified and consistent message for Nelnet across all channels.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field• 5+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or marketing• Outstanding writing and editing skills with a keen attention to detail• Proven track record of creating impactful media campaigns• Ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a team environment• Experience developing relationships with key media contacts• Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment• Understanding of media measurement and analyticsIf you have the qualifications and enthusiasm to bring your skills and experience to Nelnet, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop press releases and other content to create a unified and consistent message for Nelnet across all channels.
  2. Manage media inquiries and develop relationships with key media contacts.
  3. Create impactful media campaigns and measure the success of campaigns.
  4. Edit and proofread content for accuracy and clarity.
  5. Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  6. Develop and maintain the company’s presence in the media.
  7. Work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Monitor media coverage and analyze media measurement and analytics.
