Job Description

We’re looking for an Application Support Specialist at Nelnet to join our team and provide technical assistance to customers who have questions about our software products. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative team and work with cutting edge technology.The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a passion for helping people. They should have experience with software development and troubleshooting, and be comfortable working with hardware and software applications. The successful candidate should also have a positive attitude and be flexible with their hours, as this role may require occasional evening and weekend work.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist customers in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with software products.
  2. Provide technical support and advice to customers via phone, email, and other communication channels.
  3. Identify and document customer-reported issues and provide feedback to development teams.
  4. Develop and maintain knowledge base articles and other technical documentation.
  5. Work with software development teams to ensure new products and updates are properly tested and documented.
  6. Become an expert in the software products and be able to provide high-level support and advice to customers.
  7. Monitor customer feedback and suggest improvements to the software and customer service processes.
  8. Maintain customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction with timely and effective solutions.
  9. Keep abreast of new technologies and software releases.
  10. Be available for occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
