Job Description

In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our content metadata across various platforms.   1. Oversee and manage the Metadata Operations team within NBCUniversal Media.
  2. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of content metadata across various platforms.
  3. Develop and implement processes to maintain and improve the quality of metadata.
  4. Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices related to metadata management.
  5. Train and mentor team members on metadata standards and procedures.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of metadata.
  7. Monitor and analyze metadata performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management on metadata-related issues and developments.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to support metadata operations.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve processes to increase efficiency and quality of metadata management.
  11. Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues with metadata in a timely manner.
  12. Lead and motivate team members to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
  13. Participate in hiring and onboarding processes for new team members.
  14. Handle any escalated issues related to metadata operations.
  15. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in metadata management.
  16. Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistency and accuracy of metadata across all platforms.
  17. Keep abreast of any changes or updates to metadata standards and make adjustments as necessary.
  18. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  19. Develop and implement training programs for team members to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  20. Communicate with management on team performance, challenges, and potential areas for improvement.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Library Science, Information Science, Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Metadata Management Or Operations

  • Strong Knowledge Of Metadata Standards And Best Practices, Including But Not Limited To Dublin Core, Mods, And Mets

  • Supervisory Experience, Preferably In A Media Or Entertainment Setting

  • Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Manage Multiple Projects And Deadlines Effectively.
