Software Engineer, DevSecOps

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer, DevSecOps to join the NBCUniversal Media team! As a Software Engineer, DevSecOps, you will take a leadership role in the design and development of our security and DevOps operations, with the ultimate goal of creating a secure and efficient software development environment.You should have a passion for the DevSecOps space and have a strong knowledge of the principles and practices of secure software development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery. You should also be comfortable working with both the engineering and security teams to ensure our security and DevOps operations are handled in a professional and secure manner.The ideal candidate for this role will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, 5+ years of experience in a software development role, including experience with secure coding principles, DevOps tools and best practices, and cloud infrastructure technologies. You should also have a strong understanding of security technologies, including encryption, authentication, and network security.We are looking for someone who is a team player, self-motivated, and has strong communication and problem solving skills. Responsibilities:

1. Take a leadership role in the design and development of our security and DevOps operations.
2. Ensure our security and DevOps operations are handled in a professional and secure manner.
3. Implement secure coding principles, DevOps tools and best practices, and cloud infrastructure technologies.
4. Implement security technologies, including encryption, authentication, and network security.
5. Work with both the engineering and security teams to ensure our security and DevOps operations are handled in a professional and secure manner.
6. Monitor and analyze system performance and make recommendations for improvement.
7. Research and evaluate new technologies and tools to improve system performance and security.
8. Develop technical documentation and user guides for system users.
9. Assist in troubleshooting system issues and provide technical support.
10. Stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in the software engineering and DevSecOps space.
