  1. Collaborate with the show's executive producer to develop and execute creative and compelling content for Weekend Nightly News & Specials.
  2. Manage and oversee the production process from start to finish, ensuring that all segments and stories are delivered on time and meet our high-quality standards.
  3. Work closely with the show's anchors, reporters, and production team to ensure a cohesive and engaging on-air product.
  4. Conduct thorough research and fact-checking for all stories and segments, ensuring accuracy and credibility.
  5. Stay updated on current events and breaking news to identify potential stories and angles for the show.
  6. Make editorial decisions and exercise sound judgment in selecting and prioritizing stories for the show.
  7. Write and produce scripts for on-air segments, ensuring they are clear, concise, and adhere to NBCUniversal's standards.
  8. Collaborate with the graphics and control room teams to create visually appealing and informative content for the show.
  9. Work with other producers and team members to develop and maintain production schedules and budgets.
  10. Communicate effectively with the team and provide clear direction and feedback to ensure a smooth production process.
  11. Continuously strive for excellence and innovation in producing the show, finding new ways to engage and captivate our audience.
  12. Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continuously improve the quality and impact of our news content.
  13. Maintain a positive and collaborative attitude, fostering a supportive and productive work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Journalism, Communications, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience Producing Live News Broadcasts, Preferably In A Major Market.

  • Proven Ability To Develop And Execute Compelling And Visually Engaging Content.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Various Teams And Manage Deadlines Under Pressure.

  • Familiarity With Nbcuniversal's Brand And Programming, As Well As Current Events And News Trends.
