- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the news department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and relevant news content to our viewers.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the news department, in alignment with the overall goals and objectives of Telemundo Las Vegas.
- Lead and mentor a team of news producers, reporters, and other staff members, promoting a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes, and adapt news operations accordingly to stay ahead of competitors.
- Work closely with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to ensure alignment and collaboration in delivering news content.
- Foster and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders, such as local government officials and community organizations.
- Monitor and analyze audience data and feedback to continuously improve and innovate news content and delivery methods.
- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in news reporting and operations.
- Manage and allocate resources, including budget, personnel, and equipment, to optimize efficiency and effectiveness of news operations.
- Act as a spokesperson for the news department and represent Telemundo Las Vegas in the community and at industry events.
Bachelor's Degree In Broadcast Journalism, Communications, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Newsroom, Preferably In A Managerial Or Supervisory Role.
Strong Understanding Of Television News Production, Including Live On-Air Broadcasts And Digital Content Creation.
Excellent Organizational And Time Management Skills, With The Ability To Manage Multiple Projects And Meet Tight Deadlines.
Fluency In Spanish And English, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Lead A Diverse Team.
